Our Story
Domenick Rizzo, the owner of DR Catering, Ciao Pizza, and Ciao Café, has always had a passion for food. He claims his love for crafting unique dishes was heavily influenced by his “nonna” (grandmother), who had a knack for making fresh and delicious pasta and roll meatballs.
Over the course of Domenick’s career, he developed an appreciation for delicacies from different cultures. While his knowledge about food grew, he made sure to never forget about his roots. Domenick continued to incorporate the cooking techniques and craftsmanship he learned from his mother and grandmother into every recipe he made.
Domenick boasts of having more than 30 years of experience in the food industry, with over 8 years of them being spent on establishing and running his own business. He used to have partners, but they eventually went their separate ways, leaving Rizzo to rebrand and manage the company by himself.
Despite the detours in his journey, Domenick is still glad he’s able to focus on his passion for off-premise catering. He created DR Catering, tapped into high-end clients, and served various corporate events for large companies. Through his hard work, highly satisfactory service, and his clients’ continued support, he’s able to reach newer heights for DR Catering.
Since then, business opportunities have continued to find their way towards Domenick. In 2014, a CEO of a large car dealership approached Rizzo and told him he wanted to open a café in their newly renovated showroom. Domenick accepted the offer and built Ciao Café, where he offers a full selection of European sandwiches, healthy snacks, espresso-based drinks, and other caffeinated beverages.
